My name is Michael Schmitt. I´m a 30 year old freelance 3D artist from Cologne Germany. I´ve been working since 2006 as a professional 3D artist and got considerable clients like Mäurer & Wirtz, Galeria Kaufhof, Airport Arkaden, Gruppe5 Film, Ergo Versicherungsgruppe, Mistral etc.

In my student time I did a lot of camera work on set for miscellaneous projects. That helps me increasing my lighting and camera skills. I also often did some post production stuff like rotoscoping, color correction, keying and VFX creation for music videos etc.

Most of my time I´m currently work on, is for some 3D commercial stuff. In 2010 I did some visual effects work on the german TV documentation "Die Deutschen 2" amongst many other projects. I also created a animatic for a big underwater VFX shot in the german TV documentation "Terra X" in 2009.

I´m always interested to learn something new, meet other artists and pull off great jobs!
